Ring Frame
Calculate ring frame production and spindle requirement
Spindle Requirement Planning
How It Works
Calculate ring frame production per shift and spindle requirement for target production.
The ring frame is the final spinning machine that produces yarn from roving. It drafts the roving to the desired yarn count and inserts twist through the combination of spindle rotation and traveler movement on the ring. Ring frames have the highest number of spindles and consume the most power in a spinning mill.
Production is calculated based on spindle speed, number of spindles, TPI, and yarn count. The second formula helps plan the number of spindles needed to achieve a target daily production. Ring frame efficiency is typically 90-97% in well-managed mills. Modern ring frames operate at spindle speeds of 18000-25000 rpm depending on the yarn count and quality requirements.
