P-value Calculator
Calculate p-values from z-scores
How It Works
A p-value is a statistical measure that helps determine the significance of results. It represents the probability of obtaining results at least as extreme as the observed results, assuming the null hypothesis is true.
A p-value is a statistical measure that helps determine the significance of research results. It is the probability of obtaining results at least as extreme as the observed results, assuming that the null hypothesis is true. A small p-value (typically ≤ 0.05) indicates strong evidence against the null hypothesis, suggesting that the observed effect is statistically significant.
The one-tailed p-value gives the probability in one direction (either greater than or less than). The two-tailed p-value gives the probability in both directions and is typically used for hypothesis testing when the direction of the effect is not specified.
