Draw Frame
Calculate draw frame production in kg/hr and lb/day
Alternative Method (lb/day)
How It Works
Calculate draw frame production in kg per hour and lb per day.
The draw frame is used to improve sliver uniformity by doubling and drafting multiple card slivers together. It reduces weight variation and straightens fibers through the drafting process. Typically 6-8 card slivers are fed and drawn into a single sliver.
The first formula calculates production based on delivery speed, sliver hank, efficiency, and waste. The second alternative method uses delivery weight and number of deliveries for lb/day calculations. Draw frame production is a key factor in spinning mill capacity planning. A modern draw frame can produce 300-600 kg/hr depending on speed and hank. Waste% in draw frames is typically very low (0.2-0.5%).
