The calculator accounts for the varying lengths of months and leap years in the Gregorian calendar. It can break down the difference into years, months, weeks, and days, and also count the number of weekdays versus weekend days.
When adding or subtracting from a date, the calculator handles month boundaries and year boundaries correctly. Adding one month to January 31 gives February 28 (or 29 in a leap year), not March 3.
